As an avid whitetail archer, this was my first time experiencing a high fence hunt and all I can say is wow! The property is breathtaking, the whitetail are extraordinary, the food is delicious and the guides are top notch! I will definitely be hunting Wild Rivers again. I've never been here but if other people can leave 1 star reviews that have never hunted here, just because they disagree with how people entertain/feed themselves, then I will help the business out and leave a 5 star review. I personally don't do high fence hunting because I enjoy the challenge of hunting free range but who am I to belittle people who decide to have a little fun with their meat shopping? To other free range hunters, you gotta admit it, if your budget allowed for it, this would be a pretty darn fun way to go meat shopping. Plus you get a cool rack souvenir to decorate your place with out of the deal. We both tagged out w nice bucks . Amazing people . They took care of everything from start to finish. Beautiful place to stay .Very Clean . Fantastic food. Thanks Penny .. Patrick and his team provided us more than a hunt of a monster deer, it was an experience of a life time. Patrick knew of our son passing away a few years ago at a young age of 25. He felt it was important we honor his life with a nice buck to put in our son’s cabin. So I used our son rifle, hunting jacket and my wife wore his hat and back pack. We shared stories of our son love for deer hunting while we seen the majestic monster bucks fighting in front of us. Finally we found the buck we wanted and with our son’s trusty rifle we dropped him. We all celebrated and with wet eyes we knew our son was smiling from ear to ear. So this can be a special remembrance hunt or take someone in the family that maybe having difficulties and give them one more hunt of their life time. The scenery is beautiful and nothing more challenging than a whitetail hunt. The lodge, guides, food and hospitality is outstanding. Patrick and his team are a class act. Penny's cooking was awesome. The entire staff has always been exceptionally accommodating. Great natural setting for the deer hunt and fantastic meals and arrangements at the lodge. The Wild Rivers Whitetails team works hard to make sure your outing is enjoyable and successful. This year Brody and Jim were our guides and they did a great job. Penny as always prepares great meals and is accommodating to any dietary needs.
